We are seeking highly organized and responsible Finance Assistant to join our team. In this position you will assist with A/P processing, purchase orders, general ledger reconciliation, assist in inventory reconciliations and handle deposit transactions including some office management duties. The ideal candidate should be a self –starter, critical thinker, problem solver, and demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Candidates must possess the following criteria

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience with emphasis on all aspects of bookkeeping, and familiarity with financial statements,
  • Excellent computer skills including a high proficiency with Microsoft Excel, -Knowledge and understanding of the accounting process and impact on financial statements
  • strong accounting systems background with QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, and SAP a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and shift priorities in a fast pace dynamic work environment
  • Able to work independently with a superb level of accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work demands and follow through with minimum direction
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards such as IFRS and US GAAP

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:

 

  • All aspects of Accounts Payable, including ensuring timeliness and accuracy of accounts payable, matching purchase orders with invoices, invoice processing, preparing checks for signature.
  • Prepare bank deposit slips and post accurately
  • Complete bank reconciliations on a weekly basis.
  • Credit card, and expense report reconciliation
  • Review inventory monthly and assist in investigating inventory discrepancies.
  • Asset Management
  • Process refunds
  • Review A/R monthly and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Assist with monthly Financial Statements to management
  • Check the accuracy of all business transactions.
  • Maintain electronic files and necessary file backups.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
